GOOD is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager in our Media division to help us grow our online presence with a combination of marketing data analysis, actionable insights and hands-on implementation.  You will help lead our growth charge by identifying scalable strategies, tactics and channels for audience growth.  You will also work closely with the editorial and creative teams to develop and implement content strategy recommendations; refine our website, social assets and other digital forums where our audience engages; and, generally help translate business goals into meaningful a content strategy.  You’re self-motivated and can make shit happen.  Fast.


  • Oversee the activation and success of content across GOOD’s owned and operated properties.
  • Build out new marketing campaigns, ideas, collaborations, and partnerships that drive campaign KPIs and elevate GOOD as innovators in the digital space.
  • Help oversee budget for partnership activations, including developing plans that deliver the greatest possible ROI.
  • Build awareness for content and drive content optimization by testing new techniques, analyzing performance data, and aggressively shifting resources to top performing content elements.
  • Develop and maintain content distribution relationships.
  • Partner with editors and designers to ensure effective partnership SEO initiatives, including defining, documenting and tracking requirements through each phase of development from inception through activation.
  • Increase the visibility of GOOD’s digital properties on key search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, AOL) through the execution of SEO best practices.
  • Project manage SEO initiatives, defining, documenting and tracking requirements through each phase of development from inception to publishing.
  • Assist with link building, social media, online PR and digital grassroots efforts that benefit SEO.
  • Oversee the creation and accuracy of internal and external reporting
  • Actively manage and report on multiple budgets.
  • Support editorial team in creating and maintaining a fresh, up-to-date daily content calendar.
  • Deliver weekly reports and ad hoc results on social media.
  • Stay on top of the latest in social media platforms so GOOD is always out front in its use of communications tools.


Minimum Requirements

  • Strong analytical and statistical; a passion for data-driven decision making
  • Deep understanding of practices and methodologies for learning about customer behavior through both numbers and qualitative data
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, including large social and aggregator platforms, SEO/SEM, email, social and viral mechanics
  • Experience developing and executing digital channel mix strategies that drive traffic acquisition/retention, while preserving brand integrity and maximizing ROI
  • Ability to provide insights and analysis on campaign key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
  • Experience with marketing such as Marketo, Google Analytics, Pentaho, Tableau, Optimizely, Moz
  • Experience with social analytic tools, such as Radian6, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.
  • Solid Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables and lookups)
  • Knowledge of website technology a plus (API’s/HTML/CSS/JS)
  • SQL knowledge a plus
  • Sufficient graphic editing skills to be able to modify graphics to create test variations is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a quantitative field
